Recent inspections on the Romanian coast led to fines totaling 558,700 lei and the suspension of 12 businesses due to food safety violations. Nearly 491 tons of food were withdrawn from sale. The National Sanitary Veterinary and Food Safety Authority (ANSVSA) checked 277 establishments, issuing 52 fines and several orders to suspend or prohibit activities. Violations included poor maintenance, improper food handling, and unauthorized sales. ANSVSA will continue monitoring throughout the summer season to ensure food safety for tourists.
