Severe drought affects 141 localities in Romania, leading to water consumption restrictions across several counties. The National Administration of Waters reports significant drops in water levels, particularly in Crișana, Oltenia, Muntenia, and Moldova. 80 localities face restrictions in centralized water supply systems, while 61 others relying on wells and springs have also limited usage. The low water levels in the Danube have revealed ancient structures, providing a unique opportunity for archaeological study.
