Liniei de cale ferată Iași – Ungheni va fi modernizată și electrificată

The State Enterprise "Calea Ferată din Moldova" has announced the acquisition of design and execution services for the rehabilitation of the railway line between Iași (Romania) and Ungheni (Moldova). This project aims to modernize and electrify the railway infrastructure, enhancing the connection between the two countries. Planned works include the reconstruction of the railway bridge over the Prut River and the modernization of the Ungheni station. The project also involves electrifying the railway line and upgrading signaling and communication systems. The implementation is expected to improve the safety and reliability of cross-border railway infrastructure and further integrate Moldova's railway network into the European transport system.
