Lindenfeld, a ghost village in the Carpathians, was once home to German-Bohemian families who faced harsh conditions and eventual decline. Established in the 1820s, the village thrived in the 1930s but suffered from wars and neglect, leading to its depopulation by the 1990s. The last resident, Paul Schwirzenbeck, passed away in 1998, marking the end of an era. Today, nature has reclaimed the area, leaving behind ruins and memories of a once-vibrant community.
