Lidl România has significantly increased its export of Romanian watermelons, reaching approximately 2,820 tons in July. All watermelons sold in stores are sourced from local producers. The company has facilitated the export of watermelons to Poland and Slovakia, ensuring a steady supply for farmers and reducing food waste. Lidl collaborates with over 600 local producers, emphasizing competitiveness in the European market. All suppliers meet GLOBAL G.A.P. certification standards, ensuring low pesticide residue levels.
