Liceul Bolintineanu, protejat de praful produs de demolarea blocului din Rahova

Controlled demolition works of the building in Rahova, affected by the October 2025 explosion, are underway with special measures to protect the nearby "Dimitrie Bolintineanu" High School. Authorities have set up a 30-meter barrier and a water cannon to limit dust spread during the demolition. The operation focuses on the severely damaged upper floors and is conducted in phases using a crane and special cutting tools. The demolition is considered an exceptional intervention and a first in Romania, with plans for reconstruction of the affected floors after removal.
