Leziunile cerebrale cauzate de Alzheimer ar putea fi reversibile
Researchers have found new insights into how the APOE4 gene affects blood vessels in Alzheimer's disease, potentially allowing for reversal of damage. The gene leads to the transformation of supportive cells into scar-forming cells, worsening blood flow and promoting abnormal protein accumulation. Blocking a specific protein may protect these cells and reverse vascular degeneration in mice, suggesting new therapeutic targets for treatment.
