Letonia interzice cărțile, ziarele și jocurile video din Rusia și Belarus / ”Pentru a asigura securitatea societății letone”
Latvia has enacted a national ban on imports of various consumer goods from Russia and Belarus, including books and clothing, to reduce economic ties with Moscow. This legislation aims to limit the spread of Kremlin propaganda and is one of the first national bans in the EU beyond existing sanctions. The ban will cover goods imported through third countries if their origin is Russia or Belarus, and it is set to remain in effect until July 1, 2027. The final list of banned products will be approved by the Cabinet of Ministers.
