Recent audits revealed that the National Meteorological Administration (ANM) used public funds to purchase luxury lingerie, perfumes, and clothing. Minister Diana Buzoianu announced these findings, highlighting the misuse of five official cards for extravagant purchases. The total expenditures for 2025 and 2026 included significant amounts for clothing, cosmetics, and home decor. Buzoianu plans to send the report to the Prosecutor's Office and has called for the resignation of ANM's leadership. In response, ANM's director, Elena Mateescu, stated that an internal audit was conducted and a police report was filed regarding the activities in question, awaiting further investigation results.
