Legume din import vândute ca românești. 15 tone retrase

Sanitary-veterinary inspections in Ilfov revealed significant irregularities in vegetable storage and distribution companies, leading to the withdrawal of over 15 tons of products. Issues included mislabeling of origins, particularly with red bell peppers falsely claimed to be Romanian but sourced from Uzbekistan. Inspectors found inadequate traceability and hygiene conditions, resulting in fines totaling 24,000 lei and the suspension of a cold storage facility's operations. The authorities plan to continue inspections nationwide to ensure compliance with food safety standards and accurate product origin information.
