Legenda râurilor de mercur din mormântul primului împărat al Chinei capătă susținere științifică
A recent laser scan above the sealed tomb of Qin Shi Huang detected concerning signals that may confirm an ancient imperial secret. The tomb, located in Lintong, has remained untouched for over two millennia. Historical accounts suggest the underground palace contained liquid mercury rivers, previously thought to be a mix of fact and legend. A study indicates elevated mercury levels in the air above the mausoleum, aligning with previous soil studies. The research utilized a laser radar method to measure mercury vapor in real-time, revealing concentrations significantly above normal levels. These findings suggest that mercury may be leaking from the tomb due to structural changes over time.
