The interim Minister of Labor, Dragoș Pîslaru, announced that discussions regarding the new salary law for the health and education sectors will continue for at least two more weeks, delaying its submission to Parliament. A final version of the law is expected by mid-August, as there is currently no consensus among stakeholders. Pîslaru reassured that no public sector salaries will decrease under the new law, and two-thirds of health sector salaries are projected to increase. Additionally, on-call and shift payments will be calculated as a percentage of the salary, ensuring that current earnings are maintained.
