Legea „Lift pentru viață”: Cine primește lifturi de la stat
Romania is launching a national program to install elevators in buildings without them, funded by European and local budgets. The 'Lift for Life' law, effective from August 20, targets buildings with at least three floors lacking initial elevator plans. Eligible buildings must have at least one resident with mobility issues or young children. The program will start with a pilot phase for 100 buildings, primarily funded by the EU, before expanding nationwide. Local authorities will manage the projects, and maintenance costs will be borne by homeowners' associations.
