Legea integrității, votată inclusiv de PNL cu „amendamentul Fritz”. Bolojan: „O prevedere profund imorală și incorectă”
The Senate adopted the new Integrity Law, which includes a controversial provision that could remove Timișoara's mayor, Dominic Fritz, from office. PNL supported the law to avoid losing €770 million from the PNRR, despite acknowledging its immorality. USR criticized PNL and UDMR for accepting a retroactive law under the guise of protecting European funds. The law introduces a public financial interest statement with less detailed asset disclosures. Bolojan stated that the vote was difficult for PNL, but necessary to meet commitments. USR argued that the law should have been rejected in favor of a new proposal without the contentious provision targeting Fritz.
