An extraordinary session of the Parliament is set for August 3-6 to approve the National Biodiversity Conservation Strategy, a key milestone in the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR). The Senate will hold committee meetings on Monday and Thursday, with plenary sessions on Tuesday and Wednesday. The Chamber of Deputies will also have plenary sessions and committee work during the week. A legislative proposal regarding integrity laws, crucial for unlocking €770 million from the EU, is on the agenda but faced challenges in the Senate. The proposal was altered significantly by PSD and AUR, leading to its failure in the Senate plenary.
