Legea IA intră în vigoare în UE: chatbot-urile și conținutul generat artificial trebuie marcate • Newsweek România

New EU regulations on artificial intelligence will take effect on August 2, 2026, requiring chatbots and AI-generated content to be labeled. The AI Act aims to enhance transparency and reduce manipulation risks by ensuring users are informed when interacting with AI systems. Additionally, deepfake content must be clearly marked. The European Commission emphasizes that these measures will help citizens make informed decisions and build trust in AI technologies. The AI Office will oversee compliance, particularly for high-risk AI models, and enforce bans on harmful practices. A scientific group of experts will support the AI Office in its regulatory efforts.
