The education law changes are postponed as senators failed to reach an agreement on delaying the double exam for eighth graders. The proposal was sent back to committee for further discussion next week. The initiative, supported by PSD deputies, faced opposition from USR, which proposed amendments that were not integrated into the law. A vote on these amendments was requested but did not achieve a majority. If the legislative change does not pass, eighth graders will have to take two exams starting next summer. The initiative is set to be voted on again next Tuesday.
