Users must be at least 18 years old, and operators are required to verify age during account registration. Scooters must use bike lanes where available, and if not, can only operate on roads with a speed limit of 50 km/h. Safety features like functional brakes, GPS, and lights are mandatory. The regulation prohibits riding on sidewalks unless designated paths exist and restricts usage under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Operators must manage scooter placement and provide anonymized usage data to the city. Violations can result in fines ranging from 1,000 to 10,000 lei.
