Lecția de energie a Bulgariei: exporturile de electricitate au crescut cu 60% în ultimul an, în special ca urmare a celor 7.000 MW de solar și a celor 17.000 MWh instalați în baterii - Economica.net

Bulgaria's net electricity exports surged by 62% year-on-year, reaching 3.5 TWh due to increased renewable energy production. The country produced 12.24% more electricity, with renewable sources accounting for nearly 80% of this growth. Standalone battery systems contributed significantly, delivering 1,720 GWh, a ninefold increase from last year. Despite challenges like low water levels affecting nuclear and hydro generation, Bulgaria maintained competitive energy prices and security. However, the country needs to accelerate wind energy development to ensure affordable energy during winter months. Investment in renewables has reached approximately 7 billion EUR since 2020, but wind capacity remains low at 716 MW.
