Le Monde: Atacurile cu drone se intensifică în Marea Neagră. Bulgaria și România dispun de mijloace limitate pentru a-și proteja litoralul și navele comerciale
The Black Sea conflict between Russia and Ukraine has escalated, affecting Bulgarian waters. Recently, two Turkish commercial vessels were attacked, with one sinking. Ukraine accuses Russia of targeting these ships to disrupt its economy. The situation raises concerns for Romania and Bulgaria, as their exclusive economic zones are not fully protected under international law. Despite this, both countries can safeguard their energy platforms. The maritime insurance market has classified the Black Sea as a high-risk area, complicating shipping routes. Efforts for dialogue between Russia and Ukraine, facilitated by Turkey, have yet to yield results, and identifying the perpetrators of attacks remains challenging.
