A new laser device capable of detecting and killing mosquitoes mid-flight is now available for purchase, starting at nearly $1,000. Developed by Photon Matrix Lab in China, the system integrates LiDAR, radar, and AI to identify and target mosquitoes. Two models are offered: an indoor infrared version for $988 and an outdoor blue laser version for $1,088. The device can eliminate up to 30 mosquitoes per second and operates for 16 hours on a battery. Independent testing has not yet been conducted, and safety certifications are described as rigorous.
