Laptele matern ar putea oferi bebelușilor un nou beneficiu pentru sănătate. Ce arată un nou studiu

A recent study highlights the positive impact of breast milk components on infants' gut health, particularly in reducing antibiotic resistance genes. The research, led by CSIC, indicates that exclusive breastfeeding is linked to lower levels of antimicrobial resistance genes in babies' intestines. Oligosaccharides in breast milk serve as food for beneficial gut bacteria, promoting a healthy microbiome. These findings suggest that breastfeeding can effectively limit the spread of antibiotic resistance in gut bacteria during a critical developmental phase.
