La zece ani după scandalurile dezvăluite de „Panama Papers”, UE a eliminat Panama de pe lista neagră a paradisurilor fiscale
The European Union has removed Panama and Vietnam from its tax haven blacklist, acknowledging their reforms towards international transparency standards. This decision reflects positive trends in fiscal governance, as stated by EU finance ministers during a meeting in Luxembourg. Panama had been on the blacklist since 2020, while Vietnam was added in February 2026. The EU's blacklist aims to combat tax evasion by multinational corporations and wealthy individuals, with sanctions including the freezing of EU funds. Currently, the list includes eight jurisdictions that fail to meet agreed international tax standards.
