La Timișoara, distribuția energiei termice va fi preluată de TermSet - serviciu înființat de Primărie care va separa partea de producție care rămâne în continuare în sarcina Colterm

The Timișoara City Hall announced that starting this winter, the distribution and supply of thermal energy will be managed by TermSet, a new public service established in July 2024. Colterm will continue to handle production, while TermSet will take over the transport and billing processes by October 15, 2026. This separation aims to improve efficiency and reduce losses in the aging network. A significant investment of nearly 370 million lei is planned to replace old pipes. Colterm currently has sufficient coal and gas supplies for the upcoming winter and is preparing contracts for 2027. Additionally, the municipality is exploring geothermal energy options in partnership with OMV Petrom.
