La fiecare 100 de euro încasați din exporturi, România a cheltuit 134 de euro pe importuri

Romania's trade deficit reached €22.44 billion in the first eight months of 2026, despite a rise in exports. The country spent €134 on imports for every €100 earned from exports. In August alone, the deficit was €3.14 billion, with imports increasing faster than exports. Key sectors contributing to the deficit include chemicals, fuels, and manufactured goods, which together account for 80% of the total deficit. The EU remains Romania's main trading partner, with a significant trade imbalance. Persistent trade deficits can affect the economy and currency stability, highlighting the need for increased local production and reduced dependency on imports.
