Construction has begun on a new bridge in Cluj-Napoca, with an investment of 6 million euros, primarily funded by European sources. The 'Fabricii de Zahăr' bridge will replace the existing pedestrian walkway and will feature two traffic lanes, sidewalks, and bike paths, enhancing connectivity between the Iris and Bulgaria neighborhoods. The project also includes the modernization of the surrounding street and the addition of parking spaces with electric vehicle charging stations. Completion is expected by autumn 2027.
