After two years since the storm Boris damaged the railway, trains are now operating again between Galați and Târgu Bujor. The rehabilitation, costing nearly €11 million, was completed by CFR. The Regional Branch of Railways Galați announced that train services resumed on October 14. The storm caused significant damage to approximately 11 kilometers of track, necessitating extensive repairs. The investment, amounting to 55,989,500 lei, was funded by the state budget and included various infrastructure improvements. While repairs were ongoing, limited train services were available, and alternative transport was provided for other routes. Rehabilitation efforts continue on the Târgu Bujor–Bârlad section to fully restore the CF 703 line.
