Kremlinul avertizează Lituania că decizia de a ridica interdicția privind armele nucleare riscă să ducă la o escaladare a conflictului

Russia warns that Lithuania's decision to lift the ban on hosting nuclear weapons could escalate regional tensions. The Kremlin expressed concern over Lithuania's preliminary vote to amend its constitution, which is the first of two required votes. Dmitry Peskov, a Kremlin spokesperson, stated that the proximity of NATO military infrastructure, particularly from the U.S., to Russia's borders is seen as a step towards increased tensions. He emphasized that deploying nuclear weapons in neighboring countries would not contribute to stability in Europe. Lithuania, a NATO and EU member, has a history of restrictions on nuclear arms dating back to its independence from the Soviet Union.
