Kievul deschide parțial exporturile de gaze din producția proprie
On October 7, the Ukrainian government partially lifted the ban on natural gas exports, allowing private producers to sell up to 15% of their monthly production abroad. This decision comes after a surplus in the gas market due to reduced industrial consumption since the war began. Despite the ongoing conflict, private companies have maintained stable production levels. The new export mechanism will be in effect from March 1 to November 30 each year, with sales conducted through specialized trading sessions. The move aims to capitalize on the price gap between Ukrainian and European gas markets, as Ukrainian gas remains significantly cheaper. However, exports can be suspended in crisis situations.
