Kenya has reported its first confirmed Ebola case involving a Kenyan citizen who recently returned from the Democratic Republic of Congo. The patient has since died, and 28 contacts have been identified. The DRC is experiencing its largest Ebola outbreak, with over 8,000 cases and 4,000 deaths. The outbreak has also spread to Uganda, which was declared free of the virus in August. Ebola is transmitted through direct contact with infected bodily fluids and can cause severe symptoms.
