Kelemen Hunor, leader of UDMR, believes there is an 80% chance for a new government led by Luca Niculescu to pass Parliament. He outlined two to three potential scenarios for forming a majority, including a technocratic cabinet or one centered around PSD. Hunor emphasized that UDMR will not support a government that relies on votes from AUR or S.O.S. România. He noted that UDMR is not eager to join the government, focusing instead on ensuring a fully empowered government. Csoma Botond, UDMR's deputy leader, stated that a coalition with PSD and PNL is currently impossible due to PNL's stance against collaborating with PSD, leaving AUR and S.O.S. as potential partners if no other majority can be formed.
