Kelemen Hunor, the UDMR leader, criticized the designated Prime Minister Siegfried Mureșan for suggesting that the PSD's pro-European stance depends on their vote for the new government. He emphasized that the PSD is indeed pro-European and that the PNL's alliance with PSD undermines Mureșan's claims. Hunor stated that without a consensus between PNL and PSD, a fully empowered government cannot be formed, excluding AUR from the future cabinet. Mureșan, on the other hand, indicated that the PSD must choose between supporting a pro-European government or strengthening ties with AUR. The PSD's National Permanent Bureau decided not to vote for Mureșan's government, with a final decision expected soon.
