Jumbo cumpără în România o fabrică: O va transforma în GigaCentru de distribuție

Greek toy retailer Jumbo is acquiring the former Haier factory near Ploiești, which will serve as a distribution center for Romania and Hungary. The purchase is nearing completion, with Jumbo having already paid a deposit. The factory, closed in 2025, was previously a refrigerator manufacturing site and is set to be transformed into a logistics hub. Jumbo plans to expand its presence in Romania, aiming to double its store count and open new locations in the coming years. Despite a decline in sales in Romania, Jumbo remains optimistic about long-term investments in the region, viewing current market challenges as opportunities.
