Judecătorul a decis: August Hanning, fostul șef al spionilor germani, în arest preventiv pentru trădare • Newsweek România
August Hanning, former head of the German intelligence service BND, has been placed in preventive detention on charges of espionage and treason. A judge issued the arrest warrant for the 80-year-old after he was detained in North Rhine-Westphalia. The Federal Prosecutor's Office accuses him of obtaining state secrets and attempting treason. Hanning's former office manager, Manfred D., was also arrested for complicity in the alleged treason. It is believed that Manfred D. provided Hanning with internal BND information for over a decade, which Hanning reportedly used in his consulting work. The investigation is ongoing, and the specific foreign intelligence service involved has not been disclosed.
