Joheirry Mola, a 24-year-old from the Dominican Republic, was crowned Miss World on September 5 in Vietnam, marking a historic win for her country. She is the second Dominican woman to achieve this title, following Mariasela Álvarez in 1982. Mola holds a degree in Business Management and works as a literature and social studies teacher, as well as a professional model and reporter for Univision New York. She founded 'Voices of Tomorrow,' an initiative aimed at providing English language education to vulnerable youth. Her focus on education and social issues resonated during the competition, aligning with the Miss World motto of 'Beauty with a Purpose.'
