Japonezii, speriați de muncitorii străini. Tokio înăsprește regulile pentru obținerea permisului de ședere permanentă
Japan has tightened requirements for foreigners seeking permanent residency, increasing application fees significantly and imposing new income and language criteria. The changes aim to address rising immigration concerns amid a declining birth rate and an aging population. Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi emphasized the need for a balanced coexistence with foreigners while acknowledging public anxiety over immigration. Despite the challenges, experts argue that Japan must welcome more foreign workers to sustain its economy. The new regulations will require applicants to prove above-average income and basic Japanese language skills, with application fees rising from 10,000 to 200,000 yen.
