Jalon PNRR atins pe calea ferată Timișoara–Lugoj: lucrările au depășit 80%

The modernization of the railway line between Timișoara and Lugoj is over 80% complete, with over 90% of the track installed. Train traffic is set to resume on one track by August 31, initially at 120 km/h, increasing to 160 km/h as work is finalized. This milestone is part of Romania's PNRR funding, which will secure 1.5 billion euros for railway upgrades. Additional sections of the railway are also progressing, with significant advancements noted in other areas. Road passages in Timișoara are being redesigned to accommodate increased traffic flow after the railway modernization.
