Slovenian Jakob Omrzel won the 12th stage of the Vuelta a España, while Enric Mas increased his overall lead. Omrzel finished in 4 hours, 29 minutes, and 53 seconds, followed by Urko Berrade Fernandez and Santiago Buitrago. Mas, who finished sixth, attacked in the final kilometers, extending his lead to 1 minute and 45 seconds over Primoz Roglic. Felix Gall and Richard Carapaz follow in third and fourth place, respectively. Omrzel's victory moved him to sixth overall, while Wout van Aert leads the points classification and Santiago Buitrago tops the climbers' ranking.
