JAI: Ce cere România în criza migranților de la Ceuta

Interim Minister of Internal Affairs Cătălin Predoiu attended an extraordinary JAI Council meeting, urging EU support for Spain amid the Ceuta crisis. He emphasized the need for immediate stabilization, border protection, and prevention of illegal crossings. Predoiu expressed Romania's solidarity with Spain and highlighted the shared responsibility of EU member states in managing external borders. He called for enhanced operational support and cooperation with North African countries to combat illegal migration. The meeting followed a surge of over 72,000 migrants crossing into Ceuta, leading to significant fatalities.
