Jaful de milioane de la Muzeul Renoir din Franța. Cinci suspecți au fost arestați, dar două tablouri sunt încă dispărute
French authorities have arrested at least five individuals linked to a significant art theft at the Renoir Museum on the French Riviera. The arrests followed a search operation initiated after the theft on September 8, 2026. Among those detained are two men suspected of breaking into the museum, with investigators exploring potential connections to organized crime. The thieves, well-equipped and knowledgeable about the museum layout, entered the premises by cutting through a protective fence and breaking a window. They used a power saw to detach artworks from their frames. Although two of the four stolen pieces were found abandoned, the other two remain missing, including valuable works by Renoir worth up to nine million euros. The investigation is ongoing to locate the missing artworks and identify any additional accomplices.
