Jaf incredibil în Franța: A fost furată „cea mai scumpă carte din lume”

The world's most expensive book, featuring a bronze cover sculpted by Salvador Dalí, was stolen from a gallery in France. The book, titled "The Apocalypse of Saint John," is valued at several million euros. The theft occurred overnight from October 4 to 5, discovered by gallery owner Christian Karoutzos. The investigation is led by the Clermont-Ferrand Prosecutor's Office, which emphasizes the book's significant value. The heavy book, weighing as much as a refrigerator, has a cover adorned with precious stones and weighs 150 kilograms. It contains 150 parchment pages illustrated by notable 20th-century artists. Karoutzos described the book as a majestic, unique work, likening it to a cathedral.
