Iulian Stanciu and Adrian Crețoiu have indirectly acquired Gazprom's gas station chain in Romania from NIS Petrol, a Serbian subsidiary controlled by Russia. The acquisition was made through Argenta SRL, a construction firm owned by the two entrepreneurs. This move follows their previous acquisition of Argenta and their control over Foraj Sonde Videle, which recently took over Raffles Energy. Gazprom's gas stations, numbering 19 in Romania, have been under scrutiny due to sanctions against Russian shareholders. NIS Petrol, currently in preventive concordat, reported significant losses and operates several oil and gas concessions in Romania.
