Italienii de Leonardo și-au deschis filială în Ucraina pentru a testa „Michelangelo Dome”, varianta europeană a „Iron Dome”
Italian defense manufacturer Leonardo has established a subsidiary in Ukraine to develop the "Michelangelo Dome" air defense system and new drones, utilizing AI for battlefield data collection. CEO Lorenzo Mariani emphasized Ukraine's unmatched operational experience during the conflict with Russia, highlighting the need for collaboration with the Ukrainian drone industry. The project, backed by a €20 billion budget over ten years, aims to test the new air defense system alongside existing technologies. Ukraine's drone industry has evolved significantly, producing high-tech solutions and fostering a continuous feedback loop from frontline soldiers to engineers. The Ukrainian government has also created a hub, Brave1, to support drone and AI development, with EU funding available for defense cooperation.
