Italia va propune centre pentru migranți în afara UE
Italy plans to propose the establishment of migrant centers outside the EU, inspired by a model in Albania, during an upcoming EU meeting. This initiative follows a surge of migrants in Ceuta, leading Italy to suspend Schengen rules with Spain. Critics argue the move is politically motivated, as access to Ceuta does not equate to entry into Schengen. The proposed centers may be located in various African countries and aim to facilitate the repatriation of illegal migrants. Italy also seeks to implement the GSP+ program to enhance cooperation on migrant readmission.
