Italia cere aprobarea Bruxelles-ului pentru a utiliza marja de manevră fiscală şi în sprijinul familiilor - Economica.net

Italy is negotiating with the European Commission to use the National Safeguard Clause (NEC) to support families facing rising energy prices. The NEC allows EU countries to temporarily increase deficits for defense spending and green energy investments. Economy Minister Giancarlo Giorgetti emphasized the need for selective and temporary support for those affected by inflation. Discussions will continue until the EU authorities approve the NEC application for Italy. The Italian government plans to present its 2027 budget this month, which will be the last under Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni before next year's elections. The Bank of Italy warned that a budget deficit over 3% could complicate Italy's exit from excessive deficit procedures.
