ISW: Armata rusă îl „dezinformează sistematic” pe Putin
Analysts from the Institute for the Study of War suggest that Vladimir Putin's military objectives in Ukraine are based on distorted information from Russian commanders. Following a meeting with American emissaries, Moscow maintains its maximalist demands, including the withdrawal of Ukrainian forces from the Donetsk region. Putin has reportedly set a new deadline for capturing the entire region by the end of 2026, marking the 15th such deadline. The ISW claims that systematic misinformation from the Russian military leads Putin to believe that his forces can achieve these goals, despite the reality of Ukraine's defensive capabilities and Russia's offensive challenges. Analysts express skepticism about Russia's ability to occupy Donetsk even by the set deadline, predicting it may not happen until 2032, if at all.
