The date, September 13, commemorates the sacrifices of past firefighters, particularly marking 178 years since the Battle of Dealul Spirii in 2026. ISU Sibiu has planned several activities, starting with a military ceremony on September 11 in Săliște, where attendees can view firefighting equipment. On September 13, local fire units will open their doors to the public, allowing visitors to meet firefighters and learn about their missions. However, the Sibiu Fire Department will not participate due to ongoing modernization work.
