Econergy has launched its first energy storage battery co-located with a solar park in Romania, with a capacity of 141 MWh. The company is also developing additional battery projects totaling 1,000 MWh in the country. The new system allows for energy optimization by charging from both the solar park and the grid. Econergy is expanding this model across Romania, with over 1 GWh of storage capacity under construction. Additionally, the company has received authorization for its first wind farm in Tulcea and secured financing for a solar and storage project in Brașov. Econergy's portfolio in Romania now includes 743 MW connected and 861 MW under construction.
