The attacker was arrested in Saudi Arabia, and all passengers are safe. Netanyahu described the event as a severe security incident, thanking those who intervened to stop the attack. The flight, which had around 160-180 passengers, made an emergency landing after losing altitude rapidly. An Israeli official identified the attacker as an Omani citizen. Another FlyDubai flight landed safely in Tel Aviv after initial concerns of a possible hijacking.
