Irlanda boicotează Eurovision pentru al doilea an consecutiv

Irish public broadcaster RTÉ announced it will not participate in Eurovision 2027 in Bulgaria, protesting Israel's involvement amid the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. This marks the second consecutive year Ireland has withdrawn due to Israel's presence. RTÉ cited the ongoing loss of life and humanitarian issues in Gaza as reasons for its decision. The broadcaster also expressed concern over restrictions on international journalists trying to access Gaza. The Netherlands' AVROTROS has also confirmed its withdrawal, stating Eurovision cannot be neutral while a participant is involved in a major military conflict. Other countries, including Spain and Slovenia, joined the boycott for the 2026 edition. Eurovision 2027 is set for May in Burgas, Bulgaria, following Bulgaria's win in 2026.
